We had a wonderful day!  Our tutor wanted us not to be afraid of drawing.  She gave us some interesting exercises before letting us loose with pencil and paper.  She also shared her work as a commercial artist with us, showing us some of her wonderful artwork produced either to be used as fabric, wallpaper or for bed linen.  We spent time working with different drawing implements and thinking about shape and line.  Not many of us got as far as transferring our ideas to stitches but we went home with lots of ideas.
